Advertising
The Pillar publishes six issues in each of the three annual terms at Cooley and reaches more than 3,000 students, faculty members, and administrative personnel in Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Auburn Hills.
In addition, Cooley welcomes incoming classes of up to 1,000 students three times each year, providing a large influx of potential new customers to businesses in the three communities housing Cooley campuses. The average Cooley student is around 27 years of age. Further, Cooley has students from nearly every state in the United States and many foreign countries.
Research has shown that these students typically seek convenient local businesses offering a wide variety of services. So although larger papers may reach more readers, those papers do not necessarily reach the large built-in market with diverse interests that Cooley provides.
