Western Michigan University Cooley Law School returns for its 3rd summer foreign study program in Oxford, England during the summer of 2016!
The six credit program begins on Monday, July 4 and ends with the completion of exams on Friday, August 5, 2016. APPLY NOW!
Now approaching its 17th consecutive year in downtown Toronto, Canada, Western Michigan University Cooley Law School will return to the University of St. Michael's College in May and June, 2016. A maximum of six credits may be earned during the two-three week sessions. Session one takes place from May 19-June 2, 2016, and session two from June 3-30, 2016.

Educational objectives for foreign study are:
1. encounter other cultures and legal theory and systems;
2. attend legal courses that are international and comparative in focus;
3. participate in legal events that familiarize them with the legal system of the host country;
4. gain an international and comparative perspective of the law; and,
5. experience daily living in a different culture.

Our 17th Australia/New Zealand Program, a semester program “Down Under”, is currently underway. This exciting program allows law students to live and study in New Zealand for about seven weeks and the remainder of the semester in Australia. The program begins in Hamilton, New Zealand on January 4, 2016 and concludes in Melbourne, Australia, on April 14, 2016.
