Law School Scholarships at Cooley Law

You Pursue Excellence. We Reward It.

Significantly reduce the cost of your education by securing a merit scholarship. The Cooley Law School scholarship program is very generous and rewards excellence.

Awards of Up to 100% Tuition

At Cooley you can earn a 10-100% tuition scholarship that is applied to all 90 credits required for graduation as long as you are in good standing (not on probation). Each applicant is automatically reviewed for a merit-based scholarship during the admissions process. If you’re in search of a Florida or Michigan law school scholarship, Cooley has the same opportunities for both campuses.

Scholarship Opportunities After Enrollment

Scholarships to Cooley Law extend beyond those offered by admissions. Once enrolled and classes have begun, students may apply for additional scholarships offered by the Student Bar Association, Alumni Association, and more.

Class-Rank Merit Scholarships

Students receiving a scholarship award of less than 50% may increase the level of that scholarship through academic achievement in subsequent terms, based on the honors class ranking system. The class-rank merit scholarship is applied in the next term of enrollment after the honors class rankings are released each semester. Students who are not in good academic standing are not included in the honors class rankings.

The new, higher scholarship award is continued as a minimum award for the duration of the student's enrollment as long as the student is not subject to sanction under the Honor Code or Disciplinary Procedures and is in good standing (not on probation).

Transfer Student Scholarships

Transfer students are eligible for incoming scholarships, with awards based on the highest of the two scholarship calculations. In addition, transfer students may also qualify for an Honors Scholarship based upon their class rank at the school from which their transfer occurs.
