I am an Associate Professor of Law. I primarily teach writing courses, but I have taught a variety of skills courses at Cooley, including Research and Writing, Advanced Writing, Scholarly Writing, Drafting, Bar Exam Skills, and Intro to Law.
I joined Cooley Law School in 2011. I initially served as a visiting and adjunct professor while serving as the Deputy Director of the Tampa Bay campus and later the Deputy Director of the Academic Resource Center. I became a full-time faculty member in 2018.
In 2020, I left Cooley to be closer to family during a family member's illness but was thrilled to return as an Associate Professor in 2026. In the interim, I taught Legal Research and Writing I and II and Advanced Writing at Campbell Law School before joining the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) as a Bar Examination Editor and then a Managing Editor. I spent most of my time at NCBE on a small team charged with developing the Performance Tasks for the NextGen Bar Exam.
I have been a volunteer with the Bay Area Legal Services Domestic Violence Assistance Project and Family Forms Clinic and Cooley's Service to Soldiers program. I have been a member of the Ferguson-White American Inn of Court, the Hillsborough County Bar Association's (HCBA) Leadership Institute, and the HCBA's Young Lawyers Division Youth Projects Committee.
I am a proud Cooley graduate with a passion for teaching. During law school, I was on Law Journal and was a Graduate Assistant in the Academic Resource Center, teaching other students how to read effectively, brief cases, create outlines, write exam essays, answer multiple-choice questions, and manage their time. I attended the Auburn Hills campus, interned for a State Bar of Michigan past president, and externed for a federal judge in Detroit.
I am licensed to practice law in Florida.
